I'm a professional artist, qualified art therapist and I enjoy teaching art locally.

The Luck Of The Irish

I was born in Kilkenny, Ireland and studied extensively at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. After emigrating to Australia in 1982, I continued my studies at the East Sydney Technical College.

I now call Port Macquarie, NSW, on the mid-north-coast home.

Art Therapy & Teaching

It is here that I embraces all my talents such as teaching using art as a therapy for people with dementia and mental health issues and teaching privately on a one to one basis and group sessions.

My Medium of Choice

Using mostly acrylic on canvas is my medium of choice, I use layers of colour, texture and design to convey layers of meaning. I hope my paintings invite you into their very core.

"The experience and process of creating is as important as the finished work. I want to grasp the true essence of my subject. Creating involves immersing myself in the journey rather than focussing on the destination. The journey is not always easy."
